Asset Administrator (Consultant position)

Responsibilities:
1. Office Asset Management:
• Responsible for the management and tracking of office assets, including furniture, equipment, and other physical resources.
• Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date inventory system for all office assets.
• Ensure assets are properly tagged, categorized, and stored for easy identification and access.
2. Inventory Audits and Reconciliation:
• Regularly conduct asset counts and audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
• Identify any discrepancies between actual stock and recorded inventory, investigating and resolving issues promptly.
• Prepare and present inventory reports to management.
3. Asset Disposal and Write-off:
• Oversee the process of asset disposal, including decommissioning, recycling, or resale, in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate the proper write-off process for obsolete or damaged assets.
• Ensure proper documentation of the disposal process and update asset records accordingly.
4. Employee IT Hardware Support:
• Manage the company’s IT hardware inventory, including computers, peripherals, and accessories.
• Receive, store, and organize IT equipment in a designated equipment room or storage area.
• Handle employee requests for hardware items by issuing appropriate equipment from the storage when needed.
• Process procurement requests for new IT hardware, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.
• Provide hardware configuration and setup assistance, ensuring that devices are ready for employee use.
5. Procurement & Equipment Distribution:
• Prepare procurement application for office equipment and IT hardware, sending to Admin Director to review.
• Coordinate the receipt and distribution of newly procured items to the appropriate departments or employees.
• Maintain an organized record of equipment allocation, ensuring that employees are assigned the correct hardware based on their role and needs.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain clear and accurate records of all assets, including purchase details, location, maintenance history, and employee assignments.
• Generate regular reports on asset utilization, inventory levels, and procurement status to assist management in decision-making.
7. User Assistance:
• Offer assistance to employees in troubleshooting or requesting replacements for faulty or outdated hardware.
• Ensure employees have access to necessary hardware and accessories for their work, providing timely replacements or upgrades when necessary.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Understand the basic knowledge of IT product software and hardware, and master the skills of replacing hardware, commissioning software, and version upgrade and patching.
- Effective communication and teamwork, technical problem solving, and technical solution design.
- Practical experience in IT projects and Huawei storage product is preferred.
- Good business understanding, strong execution, and interpersonal connection and communication skills.
Academic Degree:
• Bachelor degree or higher
